BNUBS Held A Seminar on the Construction of A Secondary Psychological Counseling Station and the Development of University Psychology Courses

On the afternoon of March 24, 2025, BNUBS held a seminar on the construction of a secondary psychological counseling station and university psychological curriculum to deepen the effectiveness of mental health education and improve the "Three Comprehensives Education" system. Han Lili, Associate Secretary of BNUBS, Rui Tong, Psychological Specialist, Wang Yani, Assistant Psychological Specialist, Fan Ruicong, Student Affairs Assistant, teachers of university psychology courses, including Tang Honghong, Xu Kaige, and Cui Yanli, participated in this seminar. The seminar was chaired by Han Lili, Associate Secretary of BNUBS.

The meeting focused on the construction of university psychology courses and the optimization of secondary counseling stations. The team of university psychology teachers first introduced the teaching situation, pointing out that there are problems with the current curriculum such as excessive class size and differentiated student classroom participation. In response to the issues raised in the meeting, the attending teachers proposed optimization strategies: firstly, implementing group teaching to enhance interaction through forms such as "six person groups in the front and back "; The second is to innovate teaching methods by introducing experiential teaching methods such as debate competitions, character analysis in film and television, and situational dramas; The third is to establish a curriculum linkage mechanism, in which subject teachers allocate teaching classes based on their professional expertise, and strengthen teaching targeting.

In terms of the construction of the School second level psychological counseling station, the meeting summarized the main work carried out in the past and clarified two key tasks: first, to create characteristic brand projects, including conducting self advantage exploration group counseling, promoting OH card self exploration tools and other forms; The second is to improve service boundaries, establish the working principle of "Guidance but not replace, Support but not cross boundaries" for consultants, and focus on cultivating students' self adjustment ability.

Associate Secretary Han Lili emphasized in her summary that mental health education should grasp the "three combinations": first, to integrate the concept of differentiated cultivation throughout, and help students correctly understand the dialectical relationship between academic competition and self growth; The second is to integrate psychological education into the curriculum of ideological and political education, and guide students to establish a rational and peaceful mentality through forms such as stress management workshops; The third is to combine short-term intervention with long-term support, not only to effectively alleviate current anxiety, but also to cultivate students' psychological resilience to cope with future uncertainty.
