BNUBS Holds the 2025 Spring Semester Work Conference

On the morning of March 17, 2025, BNUBS held a new semester work conference in the main building 1722, conveying the spirit of the school's annual work deployment meeting and discussing and deploying the key work of the School for 2025. Members of the School's party and government team, department heads, and MBA center leaders attended the meeting, which was chaired by Dean Qi Yudong.

The Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Sun Zhijun, conveyed the spirit of the annual work deployment meeting of BNU and put forward five requirements for the key work of the School based on the annual work points of BNU: firstly, we need to promote the integration of party building and business, to do a good job in theme education and learning activities, and to promote the high-quality development of the School through high-quality party building; Secondly, we need to carefully summarize the achievements, experiences, and shortcomings achieved during the 14th Five Year Plan period, and plan the formulation of the 15th Five Year Plan; Thirdly, through the reform and innovation of educational and teaching methods, we will further enhance the level of cultivating top-notch innovative talents; Fourthly, in accordance with the principle of "combining work and finance", we will carry out various special tasks and matters well; The fifth is that we need to implement the strategy of excellent scientific research and strengthen the construction of organized scientific research.

Associate Secretary and Associate Dean Jiang Jie, focusing on the severe challenges faced by the teachers in party building and ideological education, teacher work, and the cultivation of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral talents, proposed to guide the faculty party branch to carry out activities based on organizational life to play the exemplary role of the party branch. Through promoting the professional construction of interdisciplinary integration, carrying out the reform of the evaluation system for top-notch innovative talent cultivation, strengthening teacher AI literacy training, enhancing AI empowered teaching, enriching practical teaching, upgrading laboratory functions, and other measures, we will deepen education and teaching reform and comprehensively improve the quality of talent cultivation.

Associate Secretary Han Lili introduced the key work plan for this semester. In terms of student work, we will continue to promote the integration of economic science popularization into classrooms and communities, conduct follow-up surveys on student development, and create a distinctive ideological and political education brand for the management and administration of Normal University; In terms of alumni work, we will combine AI empowerment to organize alumni development forums, employer exchange meetings, integrate employment resources to hold high-quality lectures, public courses, and corporate activities; In terms of administrative management work, we will design and launch a dual core empowerment plan for administrative management teachers' work and research, and carry out routine work such as system improvement and cultural promotion.

Associate Dean Wei Hao analyzed the national economic situation and policy direction based on the spirit of the Two Sessions, and proposed plans to address the gaps and deficiencies in the School's landmark achievements, major project applications, and social service characteristics. He called on teachers to actively apply for various projects, consolidate research directions, and create scientific characteristics and advantages.

Associate Dean Hu Conghui focused on the challenges and response strategies faced by MBA education in the BNUBS, emphasizing the importance of enhancing brand influence through diversified publicity, innovating enrollment channels, and promoting curriculum and teaching reforms as well as expanding international cooperation and actively preparing for international certification and other aspects of work to promote the development of the School.

At the meeting, the heads of each department and MBA center spoke one by one, introducing the key work of their respective departments in teaching, research, publicity, student training, and talent introduction, and providing suggestions for the development of the School in the new semester.

Dean Qi Yudong made a concluding speech. He pointed out that the School should adhere to the policy of scientific practice, active response, and proactive change, and focus on strengthening this year's work from four aspects: first, advance planning for top-level design, and do a good job in the closing and opening of the 14th Five Year Plan; The second is to lead the transformation and upgrading with innovation, promote the integration of digital and intelligent transformation in professional construction, curriculum teaching, etc; The third is to compare and praise strengths and weaknesses, and clarify work direction by referring to advanced standards at home and abroad; The fourth is to standardize the operation and strictly abide by the bottom line, to prevent all kinds of teaching accidents and adverse events from occurring. He hoped all faculty and staff can strengthen their sense of mission, responsibility, and urgency, and promote the development of various undertakings in the School to a higher level.
