Our School Successfully Held the 144th Sessions of the Expert Forum Lecture Hall

In 2020, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued the Opinions on Building a More Comprehensive Market based Allocation System and Mechanism for Factors. In 2022, the State Council issued the “14th Five Year Plan" for the Development of the Digital Economy. In 2023, the National Data Bureau was established. "Data" has become an important factor in modernizing the national governance system and governance capacity. Coordinating the promotion of data security governance has important strategic significance and strong practical needs. On March 27, 2025, BNUBS successfully held the "BNUBS· Expert Forum" (144th session) in Conference Room 1722 of the main building. Professor Li Jianping, Executive Vice President of School of Economics and Management, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, was invited to give academic lectures and "face-to-face journals" activities. The lecture was hosted by Professor Wei Hao, Associate Dean of the School, and more than 30 teachers and graduate students from both inside and outside the School attended.

At the beginning of the lecture, Professor Wei Hao warmly welcomed Professor Li Jianping's arrival and introduced his academic background and research direction. Professor Li Jianping is a winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and a distinguished professor of Changjiang Scholars of the Ministry of Education. He is currently the chair professor of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the executive vice president of the School of Economics and Management of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Big Data Mining and Knowledge Management of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the chief editor of China Management Science, and the chief editor of Management Review. He concurrently serves as a Fellow and Secretary General of the International Association for Information Technology and Quantitative Management (IAITQM); He is the Vice Chairman of the China Optimal Law System Planning and Economic Mathematics Research Association and the Chairman of the Risk Management Branch; He is also the chairman of the Decision Science Branch of the China Operations Research Society, among others; He serves as the chief editor of the General Management Theory Branch of the Management Science and Engineering Volume of the Chinese Encyclopedia (Third Edition), and is an editorial board member for more than 10 academic journals at home and abroad. He is also one of the main responsible persons for the development of the FMS Management Science High Quality Journal List. His main research areas are risk management and intelligent management decision-making; Financial regulatory technology. He won the "China Youth Science and Technology Award", "National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker", "Chinese Academy of Sciences Outstanding Tutor Award", etc. He has published more than 180 papers in academic journals at home and abroad, and won two first prizes and five second prizes of provincial and ministerial natural science/scientific and technological progress awards, one second prize of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for educational and teaching achievements, and one second prize of Beijing Philosophy and Social Sciences.

The topic of this lecture is Research on Data Pricing Methods: Based on the intersection of economics and computational intelligence, as an emerging hot topic, research and practice related to data pricing are rapidly developing. And the cross disciplinary perspective is based on the flourishing development of two disciplines' mutual advancement and deep integration. The lecture summarized the concept, objects, and method categories of data pricing, and explored the application of theoretical methods such as game theory and ensemble learning in data pricing. Firstly, based on the multidimensional characteristics of data value, a binary nonlinear ensemble utility function was proposed, and game theory and KKT algorithm were used to achieve an optimal pricing of data; Secondly, utilizing the modeling concept of combinatorial optimization and combining it with an ensemble learning framework, a new method for data intelligence integrated pricing has been constructed; Thirdly, by utilizing the information gain value of alternative data, a multimodal deep learning pricing framework has been constructed, effectively improving the accuracy of data pricing. Finally, potential research directions for data pricing are proposed from the dimensions of theoretical system, pricing model, application scenarios, and trading platforms. Finally, Professor Li Jianping shared multiple cutting-edge references so that attending teachers and students can have a better and faster understanding of the content.

In the subsequent "Journal Face to Face" activity, Professor Li Jianping provided background introduction, development positioning, publication scope, columns, etc. for China Management Science and Management Review respectively. Through outstanding performance in various journal construction evaluation systems, the two journals have continuously enhanced their academic influence; And through derivative services such as author and reader services, brand building and dissemination, he further promotes the steady progress of the journals.

In the interactive communication session, the attending teachers and students had a lively discussion about the content of the submission and lecture, and Professor Li Jianping provided in-depth and detailed answers. Professor Li Jianping pointed out that the improvement of academic ability cannot be separated from long-term accumulation. Only by reading more literature and cutting-edge literature can we accumulate and make breakthroughs and innovations in academia.

At the end of the event, Dean Qi Yudong summarized that he is very grateful to Professor Li Jianping for bringing personalized and targeted guidance to the faculty and students of the School, which will undoubtedly greatly assist in the publication of the paper; Professor Li Jianping's pursuit of perfection in scientific research is worth learning from for everyone. Amidst enthusiastic applause, the 144th session of the "BNUBS· Expert Forum" came to a successful conclusion. After the meeting, the attending teachers expressed that the lecture was highly inspiring and had gained a lot.
